Today, 28th January 2010, we’re transcribing all the major speeches at the Afghanistan Conference in London. The speeches and decisions made there could be some of the most important for the world since the beginning of the conflict in Afghanistan.

Our role in transcribing the pronouncements made by Gordon Brown and President Hamid Karzai, so that the world can quickly read and digest the outcome of the conference, is therefore all the more important.

The world of transcription often goes unrecognised, but the importance of the messages it makes available to a global audience is very significant, to world events as they unfold and as a record for history.
