Global Lingo is continuously growing and we are looking to expand our Guatemala team. We are a young and vibrant company specializing in both Transcription and Localization services and we’re looking for a new team member for our Translation and Interpreting team.

Main Purpose of Job

The role sits within the Professional Writing Services department, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager (Americas).

The Project Coordinator will provide dedicated expertise to a small number of clients on transcription projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a small number of on site, remote, and audio/video transcription and minute-taking projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality, service delivery, and cost control at all times
  • Manage all projects using our bespoke business management system, Glozone.
  • Take client orders and establish a scope and budget for each project, in line with Global Lingo’s established processes and expectations
  • Ensure a full understanding of each project at the time of confirmation, seeking additional information and guidance where necessary
  • Assign appropriate transcribers, writers, minute takers, and editors to projects, ensuring quality and cost control
  • Ensure the delivery of all projects on time and to the quality expected by our Company and clients
  • Report problems, issues and client complaints to the Head of Department for resolution and ongoing improvement
  • Meet margin, resourcing, and quality targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

About you

  • Educated to at least Diploma/Bachelor’s degree level (ideally in English / Foreign Specialised Languages)
  • Fluency in English
  • Project Management Experience required for PM and Senior PM level, not required for PMO level.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive attitude
  • Time-management and an ability to prioritise a high volume of work
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • An interest in current affairs and a desire to learn more about a range of subjects
  • Good IT skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to work calmly, efficiently, and independently in a very fast-paced environment, often with ever-changing requirement
