Global Lingo ended 2016 delivering a second record year of revenue growth, with a 24% increase on the prior year. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for repeatedly trusting Global Lingo to deliver their language requirements. A big thank you must also go to our employees and partners who worked so hard during the year to look after our customers and maintain service excellence.
Here’s what we set out to achieve
Supporting our global customers in multiple geographic locations. In April 2016, we opened an office in Chicago, United States, and in September 2016, an office in Frankfurt, Germany. These additions to our existing footprint – London, UK; Singapore; and Cluj-Napoca, Romania – enables Global Lingo to offer our global customers local representation on four continents, and 24-hour project management support, through a network of offices across different time zones.
Using technology to enhance the interaction between Global Lingo and our customers. With the launch of our GloZone customer portal in the second half of 2016, we provided our customers with an improved method of securely exchanging information with Global Lingo and also facilitating enhanced reporting of business information.
Focusing our attention and investments on verticals where Global Lingo adds real value. With our primary focus being on Financial, Legal, eLearning, eConferencing and Market Research, we generated growth in 2016 across all sectors, acquiring new clients and positively differentiating Global Lingo from our competitors.
Continually looking for improvements in how we support our customers. In 2016 we allocated dedicated Project Managers to key accounts, with nominated back-ups, and assigned responsibilities for issue escalation. The idea was to improve our knowledge of each customer’s business, creating subject matter experts in each vertical (sector) and enabling us to acquire a greater understanding of the challenges faced by each customer.
…and always being creative, adaptable and easy to work with. This ties in with the previous point in how, as a company, we are always looking for ways to make the interaction with Global Lingo easier, more productive and stress–free!
Also included in this edition of the newsletter is a report on our 10-year anniversary jaunt to Zakopane, Poland, in January. Fun had by all and, despite some travel horror stories, everyone survived to tell the tale – and there were quite a few tales!
