The role – What we are looking for

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Recruitment Coordinator to join our People Operations team! As a Recruitment Coordinator at Global Lingo, you will assist with sourcing, attracting, and hiring talent with the goal of fulfilling the company’s hiring needs.
The Recruitment Coordinator is an essential part of the hiring process and is responsible for assisting Global Lingo in recruiting and talent acquisition methods and strategies in alignment with our culture and vision. You will be responsible in facilitating the movement of candidates through our recruitment process. You will be responsible for liaising with hiring managers to understand recruitment requirements, for the creation and management of job description, posting job advertisements, managing candidate pipelines through to hiring manager filling the position in question.

Education and experience

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Recruitment Coordinator or similar HR role
  • Degree in Business Administration, HR, or relevant field
  • Experience in Employer Branding methods
  • Understanding and familiarity with Recruitment Marketing
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
  • Familiarity with conducting different types of interviews (e.g., structured, competency based and behavioural)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
  • Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn 

Key responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact between candidates and company
  • Work towards meeting recruitment goals and objectives
  • Source passive candidates
  • Search resume databases for the most fit candidates
  • Plan and implement a Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding strategy to attract high quality applicants
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
  • Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
  • Write and post job descriptions on career websites, newspapers, and universities boards
  • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
  • Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills
  • Conduct phone, online and/or in-person interviews
  • Prepare new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires (Filing of all relevant documentations)
  • Track candidates and applicants throughout the entire engagement and recruitment process, including proactively monitoring interview acceptances/declines/next steps and following up with candidates at each stage of the interview and hiring process.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year end reporting for the team; conduct analysis around your findings and make recommendations as needed
  • Initiate and monitor background checks
  • Proactively identify opportunities for making recruiting processes more efficient and effective, and seek to create and implement solutions with the team
  • Stay up to date with current recruiting methods
  • Attend job fairs and careers events
  • Maintain an up-to-date internal position vacancy listing
  • Development and end to end management of the company’s internship programme.
