Main Purpose of Job

The Project Manager will consistently meet or exceed client and company expectations by providing exceptional service, quality, timeliness and cost efficiency on every project and client request. Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, this person directly manages client relationships, and is responsible for developing and maintaining those relationships by providing superior service as well and industry, technical expertise.  As a MR Specialist, the Project Manager will support the development of a skilled and competent global project management team in this area.

Job Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Assume full responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Work independently within an established framework.
  • Deliver projects efficiently and effectively to customers leading to high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish a clear scope and requirements of projects, drawing on knowledge of vertical, sector, workflows and expertise required.
  • Closely monitor and control project financials, ensure cost control targets are met on an individual and team level.
  • Ensure all quality control measures are taken through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Ensure linguist management procedures are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Possess knowledge required to solve a variety of common business/ technical issues.
  • Works on projects of complex scope where analysis requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Work collaboratively and use a positive approach to achieve goals.
  • Systematically and logically identifies and weighs options to resolve problems, generating solutions after reviewing all relevant information, including risks and the impact of potential solutions.
  • Defines, plans, schedules and controls work for self and/or others to ensure the accomplishment of objectives.
  • Implement procedures to monitor the results of delegations, assignments or projects.

Specialism Management:

  • Act as a Market Research localisation specialist, providing internal and external expertise in this area.
  • Provide internal training for all Operations staff on the sector and services involved, including workflows, linguist requirements, technical skills, and QA processes.
  • A knowledge expert on the industry and/or technological (present and future) landscape for the sector.
  • Solidify and expand knowledge through external training, certifications, conference attendance and presentation (internal and external).
  • Support the creation and implementation of internal training programmes.
  • Collaborate with LM, Quotes, and Ops Managers to ensure the Company’s readiness.
  • Reporting on sector on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate on potential and actual opportunities that involve the sector.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain credible relationships with customers and project team members.
  • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media and in a manner that engages others, helping them understand and retain the message.
  • Inspire and engage all stakeholders and interact with people in a variety of situations.
  • Act as a Global Lingo ambassador, driving and demonstrating company values, behaviours and competencies.
  • Maintains focus in highly stressful situations.
  • Be adaptable and curious to new ideas and navigate the stress and discomfort of change.

About you

Skills:

Good knowledge and experience within service and able to demonstrate improvement in:

  • Project management skills

  • Oral and written English plus additional languages

  • IT literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Company systems and tools, including Office365, GloZone
  • In depth understanding of CAT tools

  • Worked with internal stakeholders up to and including director level
  • Client revenue responsibility, an advantage
  • Experience managing budgets, an advantage
  • Project Management certification, an advantage
