Global Lingo is continuously growing and we are looking to expand our London team. We are a young and vibrant company specialising in both Transcription and Localisation services and we’re looking for a new team member for our Translation and Interpreting team.

Main Purpose of Job

To manage all assigned projects in the most efficient manner possible in order to ensure client retention, satisfaction and ultimately repeat revenue growth. Through effective written and verbal communication ensure that project teams are clear on the scope, complexity and expectations of clients for all projects and that the clients are kept fully informed as to the progress, position and financial status of their projects. To manage and motivate the extended project team ensuring actions are clearly delegated and that resource/quality issues are escalated in a timely fashion to the departmental managers and Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • To manage the largest and most complex projects/accounts, having overall responsibility for revenue, profitability, schedule, methodology and deliverables. Ensuring client satisfaction while achieving an acceptable profit level. The main aim is to ensure repeat business from clients and to add real value.
  • Develop business opportunities and account growth from clients by regular and consistent contact, including on-site, with clients checking on satisfaction levels, issues, concerns, potential developments in clients’ needs and requirements.
  • Full financial management of assigned accounts including revenue forecasting each month, delivery of budget revenue, project budget management each week, delivery of account profitability against agreed targets and developing and implementing revenue/profitability improvement plans.
  • Compilation of estimates and proposals for approval and close financial monitoring and control of projects through budgets, invoicing and change orders.
  • Project planning and implementing best methodology and process.
    • Risk assessment and strategic planning of activities to minimise potential issues.
  • Effective verbal/written communications with clients, freelancers and internal team members
  • Hosting and leading conference calls with clients and team members
  • Monitoring and mentoring of any assigned Project Manager officer/Associates
  • Holding regular project meetings, documenting these and distributing minutes/actions to the team.

About you

  • Experience in managing accounts and client relationships with key customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills, including development and delivery
  • Ability to create structured account plans and identify key actions required to grow accounts assigned.
  • Good knowledge of all aspects of localisation including internationalisation, development cycles, Engineering, DTP, graphics, translation, testing, Multimedia, translation and workflow tools and process
  • Excellent mentoring skills
  • Structured problem solving abilities
